OSP provide architectural and visualisation services for successful
application on former Playing fields in Chertsey
OSP have worked with our client Ashill on the preparation of scheme proposals for this site. Runnymede Borough Council at their committee meeting on 5 December granted consent subject to the completion of the section 106.
The site was formerly playing fields for Salesian School and as part of the proposals alternative sports pitches together with a sports pavilion were proposed on the western side of Guildford Road opposite the school. This application received consent at the same meeting.
Access to the residential scheme is formed by a new landscaped boulevard. The development provides a total of 158 new homes with a mix of one and two bedroom apartments and three and four bedroom houses. A proportion of these will be provided as affordable. The scheme has been carefully designed relative to the local context.
Ashill engaged with the local community, key stakeholders and Runnymede planners throughout the process and this resulted in the extremely satisfactory outcome with Councillors praising an excellent application.
OSP prepared key CGI views of the scheme which were extremely beneficial in illustrating the character and quality of the scheme.
