London Borough of Bromley Council granted planning consent for the project at a committee meeting on 6 November 2018.
OSP Architecture have been working with CALA Homes (South Home Counties) on the residential part of this project. The overall scheme comprises 280 new homes including two to five bedroom houses and apartments in buildings up to 5 storeys in height together with a 100 bed care home for Signature Senior Lifestyle by other architects.
The site was formerly occupied by Glaxo Welcome and had an outline approval for up to 179 dwellings. CALA are extremely happy with the way in which OSP have been able to optimise this development opportunity for them.
The architectural style of the housing and apartments in the northern part of the site responds to the Arts and Crafts style in the local area. The crescent apartment buildings in the southern part of the site have a more contemporary appearance.
