Planning Permission for Hybrid Application in Hertfordshire

OSP worked with Osprey Homes on a hybrid application for Phases 1, 2 & 3 at Land North of Pound Farm, Hitchin in Hertfordshire.
The site wide masterplan provides 84 dwellings with associated access to London Road, including a provision for a roundabout. The scheme will also include enhancement of the existing trees and hedgerows along site boundaries with strengthening along the edge of the greenbelt boundary and provision of communal public open space offering recreational opportunities for residents and visitors.
The approved Hybrid Application divided the site into five complementary character areas, each with distinctive characteristics that respond to the prevailing rhythm and articulation of frontages and use locally distinctive colours, materials, and architectural detailing.
North Herts planning committee passed a resolution to grant permission for the hybrid application in April 2022.
