Approval for 238 Dwellings in West Parley

Phase 1 of Bellway’s development site in West Parley for 238 dwellings, allotments and Parkland SANG was approved by Dorset Council at committee on 1 November 2022.
The Reserved Matters application was preceded by a design code which set the minimum requirements for the residential development, retail units, office space, food store, allotments and two SANGs. A new link road is also proposed to ease pressure on the nearby Parley Cross.
Following months of intense negotiations with Dorset Council, the contemporary style homes will create a distinctive development on the edge of West Parley, set amongst extensive green spaces and with good links to the surrounding areas, including walks along the Stour Valley.
Phase 2 for the remaining 148 units is currently being designed and will be submitted imminently.
