Successful Application at Morgans Yard, Waltham Chase

OSP worked with client Cleanslate Ltd on an application for 80 dwellings at Morgans Yard, Waltham Chase. Planning permission was granted by Winchester City Council in December last year.
The vision for the site is to provide a sustainable and attractive addition to Waltham Chase village along Winchester Road. The approach is from the south; with a mixed-used community of replacement employment and residential, encouraging connectivity with the core village services.
The scheme has been designed to be landscape-led, respecting the SSSI to the north of the site. A prominent oak tree has been utilised to create a central feature with extensive open space at the heart of the new community. Also, a safe pedestrian and cycle route has been proposed following the natural desire line between the village and adjacent school.
After working on this allocated brownfield site with Cleanslate Ltd for 3 years, it was great news to hear that the application received planning permission at the end of last year.
