Associate Asator Ghazarians receives Passive House Designer Certification

July 2023

In July, one of our Associates, Asator Ghazarians received his Passive House Designer Certification from Passive House Institute. This will allow our practice to provide Passive House design and construction principles across a range of different projects and sectors (both new builds and retrofits).

This is a standard for energy efficiency in a building with heating demand, which reduces the building's ecological footprint resulting in ultra-low energy buildings that require little energy for space heating or cooling – including high performing fabric and airtight envelope providing high indoor air quality and comfortable living environment for future occupants.

At OSP, we understand the growing importance of sustainability within our industry and its impact on the environment. Becoming a Passive House Certified Designer is one of the first steps in our commitment to responding to climate change and our energy demand.

If you’re looking for more information on Passive House or are thinking about what it could mean for your next project, please get in touch and as part of our professional services, we will offer to identify if Passive House would be an appropriate design solution in a given brief.
