Full Planning Permission for 10 Bespoke Homes in Kingston

July 2023
Our client Greenplan Designer Homes received full planning permission at the July Committee for a landscape-led scheme, providing 10 bespoke homes in Kingston, near Lewes.
Proposals by OSP Architecture emerged and evolved through the process of pre-applications, neighbour and parish consultation and the South Downs National Park Authority design review panels, to take this allocated site and develop it into a scheme that contributes to and is rooted in the village and landscape of Kingston.
The proposed designs respect the site’s edge of village location, with a pattern of flatted, semi-detached, and detached homes with ample separation proposed to match local character and reduce in density as it filters out into the countryside. The resulting scheme is a high-quality residential environment that adopts a landscape-led approach, including retention of key trees and enhancement to an existing orchard as public open space.
The proposals also include a Passive House and OSP are now working with Greenplan Designer Homes to deliver this under our new Passive House accreditation.
