Planning Approval for a Learning Resource Centre and Sports Pavilion at Woldingham School

July 2019

Designs by OSP Architecture for a new-build Learning Resource Centre, Car Park, Floodlit Netball Courts and Sports Pavilion at Woldingham School have been approved by Tandridge District Council under delegated powers.

The proposals lie within Greenbelt and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Sports Pavilion features a sedum roof and exposed glu-laminated structure. This multi-functional building can be used as a teaching facility whilst in the summer, sports days and events can use the facility for entertainment and hospitality.

The Learning Resource Centre houses a new library alongside, a large multi-purpose room, classrooms, common room and study areas.  The building has been designed as a sustainable building with super insulation, natural ventilation stacks, solar shading and photovoltaic panels. Glu-laminated structure to the library and common areas is exposed and supporting sweeping metal roofs.
